That's what I was hoping to hear. How are things with the boyfriend?

They're actually going pretty well. Things have been even better now that we're not in the same country. I've got this inkling that he's going to be proposing soon..

Oh really? What gave it away? He'd be a lucky kid to get a yes from you.

Mumblings from his buddies..he's been spending a lot of time talking to my parents. When I was in London, he took me out more times than usual. Just little things.

I hope for all the best for you two, in any case. Proposals are a tricky thing, quite nerve-wracking.

Would it be too personal of me to ask how you proposed to Addison?

[marc macaleid]

Of course not. I took her to Columbia, it's where we first met when she was a freshman and I a junior. We took a tour of the campus, leading to her old dorm hall. I had the room recreated to look exactly as it did while she lived there. I reminded her of the first time I laid eyes on her, then closed the door, knocked, and met her on one knee. I also gathered some of our college friends to congratulate us afterward in our old hangout spot.

Thank you, I was aiming for something sentimental and memorable. It took a bit of time to think of it, and then to arrange it, but it was worth the effort. I was happiest about her answer above all else.
