hiii guys, so I just wanted to throw a few ideas out there, because I'm bored on a Friday night and I've been thinking about them! hopefully this will be coherent, if not, sorry!
1) character catalogs, I know it's a pain in the rear for you guys to make individual boards, but I find myself wanting to post more than just first person one shots, you know? I just think it might be a bit useful if they were individual subboards again, since posting OOTD's and diary entries, etc etc might clutter up the character catalog board if everyone just tosses them in there.
2) relationship charts? i know they were phased out ages ago, but I think they could be super helpful for character development now, since we put so much effort into the social media pages, etc etc, it wouldn't be that hard to up keep. I know I always love the prompts, and I think it's fun to write about other people's characters. if not, and if the individual character catalogs go through, we could always just post them there!
3) site wide event of some sort. just to bring everyone together. c: idkkk i'm dumb and lame!
eeek sorry, don't shoot me!

Formal apologiessss. I suck, I'm just now seeing this because Jill pointed it out to me. I hate reading off tiny phone screens lately. >:c You're awesome though, love the contribution! Thanks so much for the ideas, we hope everyone comes forward with suggestions like these just so we can see what could/should be done to improve creativity and productivity around here by any means.
1.) It's not so much pain, my concern is possible clutter. Catalogs can be first person perspective, third, any way you can write, really. I've always liked them all listed out because sometimes some correspond with others, plus they're in chronological order together. I'm sure we could employ a new miscellaneous/all-encompassing board somewhere, though, for anything that might not qualify as obvious catalog material. Just like we have the blogging subboard that works for OOTDs and photo albums and a million sites from SoundCloud to Tumblr. A journal/diary board will be definitely considered.
2.) I think I know what you're talking about, if I remember correctly from past sites. They're kind of like subplots, right? And you list out the relations with other characters, how they feel about them, a blurb of their history? Feel free to post an example or screen shot, in case that's the wrong idea. We look around at other sites all the time for new plotting devices, I'm sure we're behind on some! And with that mention of prompts, I'm glad you like them! We could maybe do a weekly/bi-weekly prompt, either for fun or a contest.
3.) We've done these before, admittedly gotten a bit lazy with them after a while haha. Usually things like holiday dances, fairs and festivals, openings and premieres, birthday parties, concerts, those sort of large-scale events that can go for a while and be talked about. I've seen some dramatic ones as well, like earthquakes and murder mysteries... The key is participation, of course. So if you have any ideas or you want to leave us to our own tricks (dun dun dunn), you're welcome to list out a few ideas. That applies to everyone! Site events are especially handy during the holidays.
No shooting necessary, seriously thank you for deflowering this sad neglected board!<3
xx Susan
