 |  So I know no one does these things anymore, but hey, plotting is never a bad thing. We're all just lazy. Anyways, this is my new girl Maura, and she's different for me and I really want to get involved with others and with her. She hails from Portland and was always the quiet, shy type in her loud and proudly spanish family. She preferred her fascination with the library over social adventures, and was pretty alone all through her younger years because she'd rather read a medical book than calm some girl crying hysterics over some UV Blue and boy problems. She also has a bit of an eidetic memory, but she's never been to a doctor about it and keeps it to herself/ignores it. She's currently about to start her residency work to become a forensic pathologist, having taken a few years off to work in physical therapy and medicine and develop a nice little nest egg for herself. She worked with several NFL teams including those in New York, New England, Denver, Dallas & California before settling in LA, enjoying the slower pace. During that time she also separated from her husband after an abortion, though divorce papers have never been filed. Technically they're still married, but she considers herself alone and very much single at times. As for her personality, she's very technical. Emotions play little in her life, focused more on rationality and her mind than games of the heart. She's quick and blunt, a bit off her game in pop culture times and cold to the outside unless you see her smile. Morals mean very little to her as well, willing to dabble in just about anything just to see what it does to her body, what parts of her react. Drugs, alcohol, sex, stunts, she'll run the gamut if it changes some perception if only for a moment. She still continues to work part time with the 49'ers when she can, and therefore has access to fun pain medications to deal at her pleasure if she ever feels like it. Not much else to her, so basically she needs it all! She'd have a few good friends around the area, as she's not a completely unwelcoming person once you know her. Sharp sense of humor and can drink a girl under the table, Maura likes to let loose and experiment, but can always be good for an intense conversation or a complex third-party opinion. Just don't expect any outpouring of emotion or sympathy, but hey, sometimes the types that don't comfort you are actually the best. She'd know a lot of people through her NFL days and current few years in Los Angeles, so there's room for friends from both cities! enemies can always get creative. a jilted lover, an ex friend whom she ditched to go her own way, the more creative the better on this one. I always love a good fight/dramatic moment should the occasion ever arise. As for lovers, there'd be plenty. Physical attraction is something she's easily swayed by and the emotional side she shies away from as it's never come easy to her, so quick hook ups would be the best bet. Quick and painless are her favorites, followed by coffee in the morning on the way out the door. She's always one for manners and she's easy to make blush, but once she's had enough the phone calls won't be returned and she'll be on to the next big thing. That's about it.
